The long-held conventional podiatric view is that the feet are inherently misshaped, and they need to be corrected with the use of orthotics or surgeries. Where these methods fail, pain is to be managed by anti-inflammatory drugs. But through extensive literature research and years of clinical practice, I found that the best way to treat most foot problems is by allowing the foot to function exactly as nature intended.

is there a podiatrist whom you would recommend who practices on Long Island in New York?
Dr Rob Conenello in Orange NJ is tops!
I had debridement on left great toe last May, but for some reason, doc only cleaned outer area, but not inner area. l yr out, joint space has progressed to hallux rigidus. hurts more now than before surgery. 2nd opinion doc said it’s trying to fuse, but I don’t want orthotics or fusion due to gait, knee discomfort, & hip issues. I want my toe to bend. Maybe someone who can smooth down bone & put a spacer in. Do you have a recommendation for podiatrist in Downers Grove area of Illinois who might be able to fix this where I can have a toe that bends so my knee, & hip will calm down because I’m not limping from a painful big toe? I need your expert opinion on where to go in the area. I’m 25 miles west of Chicago.
Thanks, Lou Johanek
