Teaching courses on healthy running is one of the greatest pleasures of work as an educator. I learn so much from the participants as we share experiences and variations on simple training principles that work to keep us healthy. The thing I like best is when after we tell a story, we do an exercise or drill, maybe flail a little, but in the end it always elicits a smile. We know smiling makes you live longer. So you might say that what I have learned by teaching, and doing movements and activity, is to make people smile.
I’ll be hitting the road quite a bit over the next several months for education conferences and seminars, as well as to run some races. I met many of you last year and hope to continue the journey. With the goal of helping runners achieve health and injury-free fitness, there are education courses for CME hours for clinicians, ACSM CEUs for other trainers, and USAT hours for coaches.
Last year, the two-day course was held in over twenty cities worldwide.
