We like to think of Two Rivers Treads as more than a shoe store. As the nation’s first minimalist footwear store, we have been committed since the day we opened for business in June 2010 to provide education and community awareness when it comes to a healthy and active lifestyle.
To best achieve these goals, our team at Two Rivers Treads has always put the interests of Shepherdstown and its families first. With the assistance of numerous volunteers, we organize events that support local causes – parks, schools, trail maintenance, races, and the Two Rivers Heritage Partnership. We also offer free weekly run clinics.
Who Benefits?
We are proud also to give ongoing support to dozens of community races, events, and charities through sponsorship, contributions of prizes, sharing of equipment, logistics help, volunteering, and marketing.
So when you buy shoes or apparel from Two Rivers Treads you are supporting local causes. When was the last time the big-box store hosted or sponsored a local event, donated hundreds of children’s shoes to promote natural foot health, or taught principles of healthy running to all runners?
We are thankful for the partnerships that have contributed to the success of Freedom’s Run – which is now the largest race in West Virginia.
